Final British Milers Club Grand Prix of the season this weekend

Preview by RunJumpThrow.com

It's the last British Milers Club Grand Prix before the end of the season and you can watch it live on RunnerSpace and runjumpthrow.com this Saturday.

The action begins at 12pm Eastern time USA at the Longford Park Stadium in Trafford, Manchester.

The event features races from 800m up to 5000m assisted by pacemakers in an effort to produce faster times. An impressive 43 per cent of athletes who have finished BMC races this year have achieved personal records.

European under-18 champion Max Burgin is expected to return to the city where he set an age 15 world best of 1:47.50 over 800m back in May.

The women's 800m sees Alex Bell, who broke two minutes for the first time at BMC Watford, go again. She'll be joined by British Universities' (BUCS) gold medal winner Mari Smith - who finished first by 0.01s at the Manchester International midweek - and Scottish 400m champion Kelsey Stewart.

London 2017 world semi-finalist Jessica Judd goes in the 1500m alongside former Iona Gaels athlete Kate Avery. After finishing fourth at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Avery won the 2014 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. She also represented Great Britain at the 2015 IAAF World Championships.

Joining them are English silver medalist Jacqueline Fairchild and European under-20 runner-up Amy Griffiths.

In the 5000m, we hope to see Chris Perry, who won the steeple in Watford and at the England Athletics Senior Championships in Manchester, as well as Mohamed Mohamed, who featured for Somalia at last summer's world championships.

Female athletes will feature in a Mixed 5000m C Race. They include Claire Duck, who set her personal record of 15:39.68 at the first BMC Grand Prix of the season and Scottish champion Mhairi McLennan.

England senior champion Katie Ingle is the most notable entrant down for the 1500m steeplechase.

Please see the British Milers Club website for more information including start lists and the timetable.
